If everyone is doing 1/3 of the work and receiving 1/3 of the profit, wouldn't it make more sense for each person to do it individually for the exact same amount of time, work, and profit?

I agree with Tate. The only exception I can see is if each person is specializing or doing only a specific task and another person is doing something different.
