How do I start making money on Facebook?

I've heard a lot of people on here and many other forums say that Facebook is a lucrative way of monetizing.

However, I cannot seem to get more details than that.

For starters, how should I start doing it?

I understand that I can make a fan page, but I need people to like it and to become fans of it before it "goes viral". Where should I go about promoting it to get some "likes" to start with?

Also, how would I put in a "viral script" coded in HTML, PHP and Javascript to make the user like the page and do some other things before seeing its content?
I don't see any option to add custom code in the admin panel:


Finally, how does it compare with monetizing with Youtube?

I have never used Youtube for paid advertising it's not really my thing so I won't comment on it as I don't have any good advice to give you about how it works etc. However, I am part of a Training Marketing company and I have a specific Facebook Ad Strategy video tutorial which was shot by my mentor, it has lots of info and tips and tricks in so I think it will help you!

There is no need to have custom tab, you need to download HTML Iframe. Write it in Facebook search and get that application. Regarding the beginners I would recommend you to start sending your friends an invitation to like your page. In the fan page settings there is a button for that. After your friends liked your page your friends' friends will like that page. Actually there is another option if you don't have any friends in facebook and you are new to that you can also buy some fans for the beginning, after that you can increase them by your own via sharing, posting twice in a day and doing social engagement, so people will be interested in you and will try your service or product whatever.
