Idea: Minimum 20 posts for contest section

So I've noticed there's alot of people with only 1 or 5 posts joining contests in the contest section, so I thought it would be a good idea to have a minimum post count of circa 20 posts before posting in the section.

If someone with 3 posts wins a contest, suddenly a lurker with 3 posts in converted into a member with a personal attachment to the forums who's much more likely to become an active member. Post count limitations rarely do much more than irritate new users.

I think this won't change anything people are just gonna spam the forum to get 20 posts.

The post count would prevent new members from just joining and then winning a contest and never coming on the forum again, but I think tate has a point it could irritate newer members and put them off.
