So how sure are you that my family threw away the box would work? Will they not send you another one through the email (I know you could say you don't have a printer). It just seems to me like they would find some way to get you to send the "broken 1" back in

Thy could. But I can't see them going to big extents when I tell them I am out of the country since that is why I needed it fixed and won't be back for a good couple months etc.

P.S. Another Update. Just got a note on the door saying I can pick up the package after 7PM today.
