Here is one of my 8 'online dating' email campaigns. Each one with similar statistics although this one earned the most money in the 6 days. One that was doing the worst had only made $776.
After loads of research I decided on one dating website and prior to even signing up I messaged the head affiliate manager. Below is what I said;
Quote:Hi. I currently work together with another well-known online dating website. I know the affiliate manager quite well and we have been buds for a while. My question is this. I deliver traffic to them by way of emailing. But my emails aren't 100% compliant although I do provide an opt-out url and deduct their suppression list for every email blast. Whenever too many complaints come in, I create myself a different account, he cancels my old one, deletes all of my personal data from their system then switches my funds over to the new account. Then I start up again. He does this to cover his butt and it works out very well for both of us. Would you be interested in something like this? I make big money with them and he is quite happy with the conversion rates he receives from my traffic so its a home run for us both. If not, don't worry. I just find that being honest about this stuff from the start is the best way to go.
They agreed to try out the traffic and ended up being pleased with the results. I have been with them for nearly 2 years now.
I currently launch campaigns on 3 different affiliate accounts set up with them. The first 2 accounts I use just for emailing. My 3rd one is for whitehat traffic such as banner ads, Facebook ads, YouTube as well as offline traffic. Here in this particular thread I'm going to only discuss my emailing campaigns.
Most of my emails are scraped from the web. I don't target any specific niches or keywords. I set up some Windows VPS boxes with a good email scraper, load up large lists of commonly used words and names and let them run 24/7.
I get loads of scraped emails every day this way. From here I remove dupes then divide the email lists up into parts. Then I import them into several VPS boxes installed with Interspire IEM. They are all scrubbed against a huge list of spamtraps along with their suppression list while it is being imported. I Then send out a simple message to the lists. It is usually something similar to;
Quote:Subject: Hey
Message: Hey there. How are things? We may be driving down to your neck of the woods soon and I thought maybe we can all go get a bite to eat and catch up? I'll keep you posted. Talk to you soon. Dan
In most cases the people will think it's someone they used to know or perhaps think it had been sent to them by mistake. However given that it's not trying to sell them something, most people will simply delete it after reading it. The important thing here is that the majority of of these people won't label it as spam and just by viewing it, elevates my IP's reputation.
By doing this I can successfully parse out all of the hard bounces and get a clean email list that is free from many spam traps and suppression emails. Then I export the clean lists to another set of VPS boxes that are used for mailing out my dating ads.
I try to keep my own ads short and very simple. All of them say something such as;

The campaign I use when emailing pays me per every free lead. I start at $2 per lead until I get my first paid sign up. The pay rate fluctuates based on my conversion ratio. They pay every two weeks so what I do is send out emails as quickly as possible for the first 7 days for my 1st account. Next, I move all traffic to my 2nd account and send as many as possible to it for 7 days. Then I cycle back to the 1st and start again. When I do it like this, my 1st account gets lots of free signups for the first week, then in the 2nd week, some of those free joins start to convert to paying members and make my conversion ratio better for the pay period. So, no matter what I am going to make at least $2 for each free lead but a lot of the time I end up at $3 Or $4 per free lead when the pay period ends.
I'm not going to crunch the numbers here because when it comes to affiliate marketing, how much you make each payday is always different due to variations in conversions as well as how many joins you wind up getting. Having said that I will say that cash is no longer something I need to stress about. Of course I have to be careful mainly because BlackHat emailing is a dangerous game to play. I've never had any problems, knock on wood, but yeah it's something I am extremely meticulous about.
There are lots of dating sites around with affiliate programs. When choosing one I would recommend registering directly with them and not through one of the large affiliate networks like (MaxBounty, CJ or Azoogle for example). One big thing you need to check into when registering for any affiliate site is what other affiliate marketers say about them. I believe each of them shave leads. The key is to find one that doesn't shave too much and ensure that your conversion rates stay pretty consistent. If you work with one that you make a lot of money with the first few paychecks, then you observe a considerable decrease in conversions, 9 times out of 10 they've started shaving far too much and they're not a company you should stick with.
The site I selected remains very consistent and pays out every 2 weeks just like clockwork. They keep my information safe and also inform me when I have to make a new account. They also let me sign up with bogus info and are pretty flexible with how I would like to get paid. I'm not going to mention the website I use in this thread mainly because my affiliate manager would not appreciate it if all of the search engines started revealing that they were BlackHat friendly. However, if you want to give them a go, send me a private message and I'll tell you there.
For those of you out there wanting to make money online, give some thought to affiliate marketing in the online dating field. Bottom line is sex sells, period!
If you have questions go ahead and ask.. I'll do my best to answer them all.
