Introduction
Since there are so many exploits, hackers, encryption possibility's, etc. we all recommend you to use a condom on the internet!
This is a thread on how to feel safe while you are downloading or surfing, which requires internet.
Information
Internet is needed for hackers, because without it no one can reach you.
Of course there are methods to get a destruction virus into your computer, such by putting an USB flash into your pc. But 9/10 viruses requires internet connection!
I will give you some methods on how you can be safe for 99% viruses on the world.
Lets start
First you are able to download some tools:
(remember you do not have to download these and may use others instead, these are just the greatest once which i recommend to you)
- Avira [Download]
- CCleaner [Download]
- Malware Bytes [Download]
(downloads are from the official site, so virus free)
What are these programs?
Avira:
Avira is one of the greatest virus scanner, next to some others. Avira is a light weighted program who runs smoothly on your computer.
There are better virus scanners but those requires a lot CPU.
Also, for hackers it is quite difficult to bypass Avira.
CCleaner:
One of the best programs ever made. Not used files, like when you update a program, who will not use an old .dll file anymore, will get deleted automatically by this program. Also it will delete cookies and all those crappy thing which are not needed on your PC!
Also it can resolve a lot of errors!
By having this program your computer can turn 80% faster than normal!
I recommend you to use this tool at least once a week.
Malwarebytes:
Such a great program to protect you against Malware viruses (also known as Trojan).
Trojan's are very popular since hackers are able to control your computer for 100%!!! Just like you self can. They can see your webcam, download your files, steal your passwords, and many many many more!
Scanning a file
Everyone here are downloading applications/programs/tools/music/movies.
Hackers know you do. And how can they reach you? By putting their virus into a program(for example).
Before you open a destructive virus you are able to scan this file online by many virus scanners in-one.
I recommend everyone to scan an unknown file before opening it.

It is for your own made viruses which you want to spread, to keep the FUD. But for your own safety it is good to scan on virustotal, so the FUDness will decrease.
